Impossible™ Juicy Lucy Burgers are stuffed with melted cheese, stacked high with your favorite toppings, and perfectly sandwiched between two potato buns. The hallmark of a perfectly-crafted Juicy Lucy Burger is the cheese that’s cooked into the center of the burger patty. A staple of Minnesotan fare, this dish is super easy to recreate at home and add to your rotation of iconic homemade burgers.
This is a great recipe to turn to if you’re ready to add an exciting new burger recipe to your repertoire. The best part is the addition of our Americana Sauce to this dish—which incorporates creamy, spicy, and crunchy goodness to every bite. This sauce brings out the grilled flavor of the burger and adds a bit of kick.

13 Ingredients

  • 12 oz Package Impossible™ Ground Beef Meat From Plants
  • 3 Slices Cheese or Plant-Based Cheese
  • 3 Leaves Butter Lettuce
  • 3 Slices Tomato
  • 3 Potato Buns
  • Americana Sauce
  • Dill Pickle Chips as desired
  • Thinly Sliced Red Onion as desired
  • Sliced Peperoncini as desired

Americana Sauce

  • 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise or Plant-Based Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 Cup Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 tbsp Dill Pickle Relish

How to prepare

Step 1: Prep the Burgers

Fold each slice of cheese in half, and then into quarters. Portion Impossible Ground Beef into three 4 oz portions. Divide each portion of Impossible Ground Beef in two. Flatten out one patty, stack one folded slice of cheese in the center, and flatten the other patty on top. Press the sides together and secure the cheese into the middle of the patty. Repeat with all portions of Impossible Beef for a total of three cheese-stuffed burger patties. Place into the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before cooking.

Step 2: Cook the Impossible Burgers

Cook burgers on a griddle, in a pan, or on the grill. Cook to medium-well so that the cheese melts in the center.

Step 3: Make the Americana Sauce

Mix all ingredients until well incorporated. Serve as a topping on your burger!

Step 4: Build the Burgers

Build your burger with Americana sauce, dill pickle chips, sliced red onion, and peperoncini as desired. Enjoy!
