Set it and forget it Chili Recipes

Here are a few tips to keep in mind when making these slow cooker chilis:

1. Impossible Burger is best cooked before being added to a slow cooker. If you’re making any of our Impossible™ chili recipes, you’ll want to saute your Impossible Burger along with any vegetables before placing the mixture into the slow cooker to complete the recipe.

2. Use fresh ingredients whenever possible—especially for the vegetables. If you are going to use frozen ingredients, make sure they are fully thawed before you add them in so that their colder temperatures don’t affect the cooking time.  For best results, use fresh ingredients that can be prepped early in the day.

3. Avoid overcrowding your pot.  Fill the pot to one-half to two-thirds full, but not more.  Overcrowding can prevent your lid from fully closing, which may affect your cooking time and overall results. And don’t lift the lid to peek at your glorious chili, either, as this will let heat escape and delay your cooking.
