We strive to make plant-based products that are equally or more nutritious than those they’re meant to replace, including as a source of protein. Soy is the primary source of protein in our products, providing comparable protein to a similar-sized serving of their animal-based counterparts. Not only are you getting protein when you choose Impossible™ products, but you’re getting high-quality protein. Soy has a well-balanced amino acid profile providing all essential amino acids.

Our products are sold both thawed and frozen; offerings will vary by store. If sold thawed, the package should have a sticker with a “best by" date (added by the store). For best quality and freshness, we recommend keeping it in your refrigerator and finishing it off before that date. Like any other perishable food, though, after you’ve opened the package, the freshness starts to diminish. After the package has been opened, we recommend finishing it within three days, or by the “best by” date on the sticker -- whichever comes first.
If you purchase a frozen package of Impossible™ Burger Patties Meat From Plants, you can cook the patties from frozen or after thawing -- they're great either way! To thaw, remove as many patties as needed and cook them once they're thawed. Any remaining patties should be stored frozen in the sealed pouch, and the whole package should be consumed prior to the "use by" date printed on the back of the package.

The truth is that almost everything we eat (from applesauce to yogurt) is a combination of nature and science; it’s all a process, often including blending, mixing, fermentation, or baking. Our products are processed by mixing carefully selected ingredients, derived from plants or by fermentation, to create something unique and delicious. Check out our blog post to learn more about processing.
