  • 1 package Impossible® Spicy Ground Sausage Meat From Plants
  • 2 homemade or store-bought raw, thin Pizza Crusts
  • 2 tbsp + 2 tsp Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Yellow Onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese, or plant-based Mozzarella
  • 2 Barlett or D'Anjou Pears, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp grated Pecorino Romano or Plant-based Parmesan
  • Fresh Basil Leaves for garnish
  • Hot Honey

Hot Honey

  • 1 Fresno or Jalapeño chili, sliced thin
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1/4 cup Honey or Agave

How to prepare

Step 1: Caramelize the Onions

Preheat oven to 425ºF. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a skillet. Heat oil over medium heat, and then add the sliced onions. Add a pinch of salt, and mix to combine. Sauté for 3-5 minutes, and then turn heat down to medium low, cooking for another 5-7 minutes or until onions are nicely browned and caramelized.

Step 2: Assemble the Pizzas

Place your pizza crusts on two baking sheets. Add about 1 tsp of olive oil to each pizza crust, brush it over the surface of the crusts. Spread the 3 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the pizzas. Top with caramelized onion, sliced pears, and nickel-sized pieces of Impossible Spicy Ground Sausage. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until cheese is melty, crust is golden brown, and Impossible Sausage is cooked through.

Step 3: Make the Hot Honey

Combine fresh chili, crushed red pepper flakes and honey in a microwave-safe container, and microwave for 30 secs to 1 min or until warmed through. Stir, then allow to cool for flavors to develop.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy

Sprinkle each pizza with some of the parmesan, add a few fresh basil leaves, and then drizzle each pizza with the hot honey. Slice and enjoy!
