This classic Impossible™ Beef Stir Fry recipe may be simple to make but it also showcases some bold flavors. It's super versatile, just toss in whatever vegetables you have in your fridge. And, you get to choose between using classic Impossible™ Beef Meat From Plants, or heart healthy* Impossible™ Beef Lite Meat From Plants.

A high heat wok will bring even more flavor out of this dish, but a normal pan will work well, too. For this particular version, we think it’s best served over rice and topped with a fried egg and sesame seeds, with a spritz of a fresh lime wedge if you really want to take it to the next level.

  • 12 oz Package Impossible™ Ground Beef or Lite Ground Beef Meat From Plants
  • 2 tbsp Canola Oil
  • 1 Medium Yellow Onion, Minced
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1/2 tbsp Ginger, Minced
  • 1 cup Sugar Snap Peas, Sliced
  • 1 cup Shishito Peppers, Cooked and Sliced
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, Julienned
  • 5 Shiitake Mushrooms, Sliced
  • 1/2 Carrot, Julienned
  • 2 tsp Tamari or Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Thai Basil, Chopped
  • 1 tbsp Sambal
  • 1 tbsp Hoisin
  • 4 Eggs, Fried Sunny Side Up For Each Dish
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds, Toasted
  • 1 Lime, Cut Into Wedges

How to prepare

Step 1: Cook the Impossible Beef

In a large pan over medium heat, add oil and crumble the Impossible Beef or Beef Lite into the pan in larger, fork size pieces to sear. Once seared golden brown, remove from pan and set aside.

Step 2: Add the Vegetables

In the same pan over medium heat, add yellow onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook for 2 minutes or until soft and aromatic. Add the carrots, red bell peppers, sugar snap peas, shitake mushrooms, and shishito peppers. Cook for 2 minutes.

Step 3: Make it Saucy

Add the tamari, sambal, hoisin & Thai Basil. Cook for 1 minute, add Impossible Beef back to pan, stirring to combine, and then reduce heat to low for serving.

Step 4: Serve, Share, and Enjoy

Serve stir fry over rice, top with sesame seeds and fried egg (omit egg to make dish completely plant-based), and add lime wedge on the side.
