This Impossible Beef Stir Fry recipe combines the perfect variety of vegetables, aromatics, and seasonings to create a vibrant dish that can be served in a number of different ways. For this particular version, we think it’s best served over rice and topped with a fried egg and sesame seeds, with a spritz of a fresh lime wedge if you really want to take it to the next level.

- 12 Ounce Package Impossible™ Beef or Beef Lite Made From Plants
- 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
- 1 Medium Yellow Onion, Minced
- 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1/2 Tablespoon Ginger, Minced
- 1 Cup Sugar Snap Peas, sliced
- 1 Cup Shishito Peppers, Cooked and Sliced
- 1 Red Bell Pepper, Julienned
- 5 Shitake Mushrooms, Sliced
- 1/2 Carrot, Julienned
- 2 Teaspoons Tamari or Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Thai Basil, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Sambal
- 1 Tablespoon Hoisin
- 4 Eggs, Fried Sunny Side Up For Each Dish
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds, Toasted
- 1 Lime, Cut Into Wedges
Cook THE IMPOSSIBLE BEEF
Ingredients used
- 12 Ounce Package Impossible™ Beef or Beef Lite Made From Plants
- 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
In a large pan over medium heat, add oil and crumble the Impossible Beef or Beef Lite into the pan in larger, fork size pieces to sear. Once seared golden brown, remove from pan and set aside.
Add THE VEGETABLES
Ingredients used
- 1 Medium Yellow Onion, Minced
- 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1/2 Tablespoon Ginger, Minced
- 1 Cup Sugar Snap Peas, sliced
- 1 Cup Shishito Peppers, Cooked and Sliced
- 1 Red Bell Pepper, Julienned
- 5 Shitake Mushrooms, Sliced
- 1/2 Carrot, Julienned
In the same pan over medium heat, add yellow onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook for 2 minutes or until soft and aromatic. Add the carrots, red bell peppers, sugar snap peas, shitake mushrooms, and shishito peppers. Cook for 2 minutes.
Make it Saucy
Ingredients used
- 2 Teaspoons Tamari or Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Thai Basil, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Sambal
- 1 Tablespoon Hoisin
Add the tamari, sambal, hoisin & Thai Basil. Cook for 1 minute, add Impossible Beef back to pan, stirring to combine, and then reduce heat to low for serving.
SERVE, SHARE AND ENJOY
Ingredients used
- 4 Eggs, Fried Sunny Side Up For Each Dish
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds, Toasted
- 1 Lime, Cut Into Wedges
Serve stir fry over rice, top with sesame seeds and fried egg (omit egg to make dish completely plant-based), and add lime wedge on the side.
