Impossible Foods Launches 3 New Family-Friendly Retail Products, Reimagines Best-Selling Chicken Nuggets with Impossible™ Disney The Lion King Chicken Nuggets

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (October 8, 2024) — Starting this month, Impossible Foods is rolling out a suite of new retail products designed to make it more convenient for families to enjoy delicious, nutrient dense meat from plants: Impossible™ Disney The Lion King Chicken Nuggets, Impossible™ Meal Makers and Impossible™ Corn Dogs.

The new Impossible Disney The Lion King Chicken Nuggets reimagine the brand’s #1 best-selling1 Impossible™ Chicken Nuggets in the shape of beloved, familiar Disney characters in advance of the world premiere of the new film, Disney Mufasa: The Lion King. The golden, crispy nuggets are ready to eat in a matter of minutes, offering a satisfying meal for kids and Disney fans of all ages. They also pack 10 grams protein per serving, no cholesterol and 60% less saturated fat than leading animal chicken nuggets – all while being better for the planet.

“We’ve been very proud to work with Disney to serve Impossible products across their properties for the past four years, so it was a natural next step to collaborate on a new offering in the grocery aisle,” said Peter McGuinness, president and CEO of Impossible Foods. “Our new Lion King Nuggets are a fun way for kids and adults to enjoy our delicious plant-based chicken nuggets – given we all know and love the epic movie, and of course the timeless soundtrack.”

Joining the Impossible Disney The Lion King Chicken Nuggets in grocery aisles this fall are two additional products intentionally designed for convenience-driven consumers.

Impossible Meal Makers present a new, flavor-packed take on Impossible’s flagship Impossible™ Beef. Packing the same 19 grams protein per serving, 0 milligrams cholesterol, and 33% less saturated fat than animal ground beef, Impossible Meal Makers reintroduces the brand’s ground beef from plants in two pre-seasoned options, Taco and Italian-Style, that go from pan to plate in minutes.

Impossible is also rolling out a completely new way to enjoy its famous Impossible Beef Hot Dogs, with the new Impossible Corn Dogs. The juicy bite of the brand’s savory, smoky hot dog is paired with a golden, soft exterior that invites nostalgia for childhood days spent at the carnival or county fair – this time, with the benefit of 0 milligrams cholesterol as well as 40% less total fat and saturated fat compared to an animal-based corn dog.

The product expansion comes as Impossible Foods continues its streak as the fastest growing major meat from plants brand in US retail, driven by increased distribution across more than 33,000 retail locations.1 Impossible has also commanded the #2 spot in market share in US retail, and its Impossible Beef, Chicken Nuggets and Meatballs products are the #1 best-sellers in their respective plant-based segments.1

The assortment of better-for-the-planet products will be available to shop at grocery stores over the coming weeks.

About Impossible Foods:

Impossible Foods is on a mission to positively impact people and the planet by making delicious, nutritious meat from plants with a fraction of the environmental footprint of meat from animals. The privately-held food company was founded in 2011 and took a uniquely scientific approach that aims to make the world's best plant-based meat with the power to transform the food system. We make chicken, beef, and pork products from plants for every meal – breakfast, lunch and dinner – with a goal of replicating the flavors, textures, and cooking experience that meat eaters crave.
