Nate Gorence

Nate serves as Chief of Staff and Head of Business Development at Impossible Foods. He sits on Impossible's Executive Leadership team, co-leads overall strategy and execution, and oversees new business opportunities, international and impact strategy, as Impossible Foods grows into a household brand and beloved company. 

Previously, Nate led a number of climate tech investment vehicles and programs for Bill Gates’ private office, Gates Ventures. He also served as a Technology-to-Market Advisor for Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy, a semi-autonomous arm of the Department of Energy that invests $300 million annually in high risk but potentially transformational clean energy technologies. Prior to that, Nate served as Associate Director for a leading think tank in Washington, DC, leading various aspects of strategy, policy development, and advocacy related to a broad range of clean energy and climate change.
