Emma Hutchens serves as Chief People Officer at Impossible Foods, uniquely skilled in driving business results through workforce engagement.

Emma joined Impossible Foods in February 2024, bringing over fifteen years of global human resources experience. She has demonstrated success in organizational design, change management, developing innovative people strategies, and designing and implementing frameworks and programs that engage people and help drive the business forward. 

Previously, she was Chief Human Resources Officer at spirit-maker Heaven Hill Brands, where she led development and execution of global HR strategies, including the design and implementation of a cultural transformation, introduction of a Strategic Business Partner HR model, and the execution of a seamless leadership succession plan. 

Prior to Heaven Hill Brands, Emma also held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Stoli Group International and at tech-start-up CaaStle. She started her career at Brown-Forman, maker of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, where she held a variety of HR roles across Total Rewards, HR Information Systems, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 

In addition to her work in HR, Emma has been recognized for her leadership in advancing women in business. She was appointed by the Governor to the Kentucky Governor’s Commission on Women and is a founding member of Louisville’s ELEVATE Council: Advancing Women in Leadership. Both of these prestigious opportunities leverage her expertise in talent development and her passion for furthering diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. 

Emma has a B.A. in Pre-Law and Sociology from Xavier University, as well as Executive Education from the Kellogg School of Management and Harvard Business School.
