This Impossible Beef Stir Fry recipe combines the perfect variety of vegetables, aromatics, and seasonings to create a vibrant dish that can be served in a number of different ways. For this particular version, we think it’s best served over rice and topped with a fried egg and sesame seeds, with a spritz of a fresh lime wedge if you really want to take it to the next level.
But what makes this dish taste like the true classic that it is, is all thanks to Impossible™ Beef or Beef Lite--both meaty and satisfying, we'll want every night to be stir fry night.

- 1 Pack Impossible™ Beef
- 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
- 1 Each Medium Yellow Onion, Minced
- 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1/2 Tablespoon Ginger, Minced
- 1 Cup Sugar Snap Peas, Cut On Bias
- 1 Cup Shishito Peppers, Blistered & Chilled Ahead of Time, Sliced for the Stir Fry
- 1 Each Red Bell Pepper, Julienned
- 5 Each Shitake Mushrooms, Sliced
- 1/2 Each Carrots, Julienned
- 2 Teaspoons Tamari or Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Thai Basil, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Sambal
- 1 Tablespoon Hoisin
- 4 Each Eggs, Fried Sunny Side Up For Each Dish (Omit for fully plant based version)
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds, Toasted
- 1 Each Lime, Cut Into Wedges
START THE IMPOSSIBLE BEEF
Ingredients used
- 1 Pack Impossible™ Beef
- 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
In a large pan over medium heat, add oil and crumble the Impossible™ Beef in large, fork size pieces to sear. Once seared golden brown, remove from pan and set aside.
COOK THE VEGETABLES
Ingredients used
- 1 Each Medium Yellow Onion, Minced
- 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1/2 Tablespoon Ginger, Minced
- 1 Cup Sugar Snap Peas, Cut On Bias
- 1 Cup Shishito Peppers, Blistered & Chilled Ahead of Time, Sliced for the Stir Fry
- 1 Each Red Bell Pepper, Julienned
- 5 Each Shitake Mushrooms, Sliced
- 1/2 Each Carrots, Julienned
In the same pan over medium heat, add yellow onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook for 2 minutes or until soft and aromatic. Add the carrots, red bell peppers, sugar snap peas, shitake mushrooms, and shishito peppers. Cook for 2 minutes.
ADD SOME FLAVOR
Ingredients used
- 2 Teaspoons Tamari or Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Thai Basil, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Sambal
- 1 Tablespoon Hoisin
Add the tamari, sambal, hoisin & Thai Basil. Cook for 1 minute and reduce heat to low for serving.
SERVE, SHARE AND ENJOY
Ingredients used
- 4 Each Eggs, Fried Sunny Side Up For Each Dish (Omit for fully plant based version)
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds, Toasted
- 1 Each Lime, Cut Into Wedges
Serve stir fry over rice, top with sesame seeds and fried egg (omit egg to make dish completely plant-based), and add lime wedge on the side.
