- 14 Ounce Package Impossible™ Sausage Made From Plants, Savory
- 3/4 Cup Provolone cheese
- 3/4 Cup Mozzarella cheese
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 2 gala apples, 1 peeled and diced, 1 cut into matchsticks
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 1/2 Teaspoons rosemary, chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Whole grain mustard
- 1/4 Cup brown sugar
- 1/4 Cup white balsamic vinegar, or regular balsamic
- 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 Tablespoons Parsley, stemmed and roughly chopped
- 1/4 Teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 3 Store bought pre-made Flatbread
Cook the Impossible Sausage
Add oil to a large pan over medium-high heat. Crumble Impossible Sausage into the pan, and cook until well seared and golden brown. Flip and stir the crumbles to continue searing and cooking evenly on all sides until cooked through. Remove from pan, and set aside.
Make the Apple Onion Jam
In a medium sauce pan over medium-low heat, add the butter and cook until melted. Add the yellow onions, peeled and diced apple, garlic, and 1 teaspoon of the chopped rosemary. Cook until everything is softened and caramelized. About 10 minutes. Add the wholegrain mustard, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, and 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt, and simmer until thick and jammy, about 5 minutes.
Make the Slaw
For the slaw, add two tablespoons of olive oil to a small saucepan over medium high heat. Add the chili flakes and remaining 1/2 teaspoon chopped rosemary and fry until fragrant, and then remove from heat. In a small bowl combine the apple matchsticks, red onion, lemon juice, and 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt. Pour the rosemary chili oil over top and mix to coat. Set aside.
Bake and Enjoy
To build the flatbread pizza, spread flatbread with the apple onion jam, sprinkle with mozzarella and provolone and top with Impossible Sausage. Bake for 10 minutes. Top with apple slaw and serve. Enjoy!
