How do you make one of the most festive dishes in Korean cuisine even more celebratory? Cook it with Impossible™ Burger. Japchae is a dish traditionally served at celebrations like weddings or birthday parties—but it’s also perfect for any kind of big party or banquet. Invited to a potluck and tired of bringing the same old casserole? Impossible Japchae to the rescue. It’s savory and sweet, filled with fresh ingredients, and super easy to make. This is a stir fry dish that consists of vegetables, Impossible Burger marinated in a special sauce and a distinctive kind of noodle that has several different names: Korean Potato Starch Vermicelli Noodles, also known as Glass Noodles, Cellophane Noodles or Dangmyeon. Regardless of the name, these noodles come out of the bag looking like the brush on an old-fashioned broom. They become clear while cooking in boiling water. (Don’t confuse them with rice vermicelli noodles, which are white.) Planning is key when making this dish because the ingredients are prepared separately and then mixed at the end. When making any kind of pasta or noodle dish, it's helpful to start heating up the water first. You’ll be using your biggest pot for the noodles, and while they’re cooking, you can prepare the spicy sauce. The key ingredient here is a Korean chili paste called Gochujang. You can find it at almost any Asian supermarket or online. Once you’ve got these two elements underway, you’re ready to begin prepping the vegetables. Things move quickly from here, and you’ll have a delicious meal ready to go before you know it. So if you’ve got a celebration coming up in your life, it's time to make this Impossible Japchae. It’s so delicious you may start inventing holidays just for an excuse to enjoy it again!
