Based in Oakland, Chef Mimi(opens in a new tab) is the creator of the Black Food & Wine Experience and the Bringing It To The Table Cooking Show. She grew frustrated with the lack of representation of Black chefs in the curriculum and broader media, and her mission is to create space for chefs to express their culinary skills without being limited to the narrative that Black Chefs can only cook Soul Food or BBQ.
Her BBQ Meatloaf featuring Impossible™ Beef Made From Plants is a perfect dinner for any day of the week. Throw a slice on a sandwich, turn it into an appetizer—whatever you do, your family will love it.
