Making some tasty salsas and toppings in advance, and gathering some store-bought condiment essentials is all the real prep you need with this fun recipe idea, but make the concept your own with your favorite ingredients and grilling accompaniments. Grill up these delicious plant-based sausages, make a few example builds for your guests to reference, and then open up this imaginative BBQ bar at your next backyard cookout. Enjoy!

  • 1 Package Impossible™ Sausage Links Made From Plants, Spicy
  • 1 Package Impossible™ Sausage Links Made From Plants, Bratwurst
  • 1 Package Impossible™ Sausage Links Made From Plants, Italian
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 4 pretzel sausage buns
  • 4 poppy seed sausage buns
  • 2 Cups diced pineapple
  • 1/2 red onion, diced small
  • 1 jalapeño, diced fine
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced small
  • Half Bunch plus 3 Tablespoons Fresh cilantro, chopped fine
  • 3 limes
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • 1 Cup sour cream
  • 1 Teaspoon chipotle powder
  • Stoneground, Whole Grain, Spicy, or Horseradish Mustard
  • Sauerkraut
  • Olive oil and Vinegar
  • Chopped tomatoes, white onion and pickled peppers
5 steps
  1. Prepare the Pineapple Salsa

    Combine diced pineapple, red onion, jalapeño, red bell pepper, diced small, 3 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro, and the juice of 1 lime. Stir to combine, season to taste with Kosher salt.

  2. Make the Chipotle Lime Crema

    Combine sour cream, the juice and zest of 2 limes, chipotle powder and half bunch of finely chopped cilantro. Stir until well incorporated.

  3. Gather the rest of the condiments

    Ready the mustard and sauerkraut, and gather the oil and vinegar, chopped tomatoes, onions and pickled peppers.

  4. Grill the Impossible Sausage Links

    Preheat grill to medium-high heat and cook Impossible Sausage Links for about 10 minutes, turning frequently, browning on all sides until they reach an internal temp of 160°F.

  5. Assemble your Impossible Sausage Links Bar

    Build a few examples for your BBQ guests of what pairings you'd recommend, and then leave the rest up to their imagination.
