This recipe comes to us from My Nguyen, the creator of MyHealthyDish.com.(opens in a new tab) Her philosophy about food is simple: “Nutrition is a way of life and diets are temporary.” Nguyen is a big believer in food that is easy to prepare and healthy to eat. She created her Instagram page with the idea of “showing the world that eating healthy can be easy and tasty.”

Her recipe today is both easy and tasty: the delicious Cheeseburger sandwich based on the Philly Cheesesteak. This is something everyone can enjoy. The key, of course, is Impossible™ Burger.

One of the best parts of the traditional Philadelphia Cheesesteak is brought into this recipe—the cheese! And not fancy cheese, either. My Nguygen’s recipe calls for American cheese or plant-based cheese to get that gooey, cheesy topping. She also suggests you use Brioche buns, which are tastier and lighter than a traditional Hoagie Roll.

  • 12 安士 Package Impossible Burger
  • 1 Red Pepper
  • 1 Green Pepper
  • 4 片 American Cheese or Plant-Based Cheese
  • 4 Brioche Buns
  • 1/2 茶匙 Salt
  • 1/2 茶匙 Pepper
  • 1/2 茶匙 Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 茶匙 Cumin Powder
  • 2 湯匙 Olive Oil

  1. PREP AND SEASON

    材料

    • 12 安士 Package Impossible Burger
    • 1 Red Pepper
    • 1 Green Pepper
    • 1/2 茶匙 Salt
    • 1/2 茶匙 Pepper
    • 1/2 茶匙 Garlic Powder
    • 1/2 茶匙 Cumin Powder

    Season Impossible Burger with salt, pepper, garlic and cumin powder and slice peppers.

  2. COOK IT UP

    材料

    • 2 湯匙 Olive Oil

    In a large pan heat up oil to medium high heat. Cook the Impossible Burger and peppers for 5-6 minutes until the Impossible Burger is brown and the peppers are al dente.

  3. PUT IT ALL TOGETHER

    • 4 片 American Cheese or Plant-Based Cheese
    • 4 Brioche Buns

    Toast buns until lightly golden brown. Remove buns from heat and add the cooked Impossible Burger and peppers. Top with sliced American cheese or plant-based cheese.

  4. SERVE, SHARE, AND ENJOY

    Makes four delicious Impossible Philly Cheeseburger sandwiches.
